Suido Kiko Kaisha, Ltd. is one of the largest engineering
and construction companies in Japan, especially in the fields of potable
water and wastewater treatment. We have extensive experience working with
the Japanese municipal government on potable water issues, and we have
our own internal Research and Development group. Since our establishment
in 1936, we have devoted ourselves to the business of water, the indispensable
source of life for all human beings. As an environmental business, we
are pushing for the "establishment of a recycling-based society,"
with water as the key component. We are continuing our efforts and research
to enable more people to enjoy "the gift of water. "
Furthermore, in order to increase customer satisfaction, Suido Kiko obtained
ISO9001 certification in 1998 and ISO14001 certification in 2001, providing
our customers with reliable, high-quality technology.
Our main business is the engineering and construction of water treatment
systems, such as for drinking water, sewage, industrial water and wastewater.
We have developed many unique water/waste water treatment systems, devices,
and chemicals. We have consistently been first or second in the market
share, especially in drinking water fieldin, in Japan. Recently, we have
been focusing on four key business areas: Membrane Filtration, Sea Water
Desalination, Reclamation via Membrane, and Water Treatment System Operation/Maintenance.
Toray Industries, Inc. acquired a 51% stock in our company in 2004. Toray
is among the top 10 textile producers worldwide, including companies like
ICI, Hoexst, and Dupont. They are also one of the top three membrane producers,
along with Dow and Hydranautics, and their application of membranes into
water treatment businesses is rapidly increasing. Today, all of the Toray
Group's water treatment businesses have been centralized into Suido Kiko.
